My Favorite Pothos Plants

It started during the pandemic, I was bored and that's when I tend to pick up a new hobby. It began with a small succulent, which led to more, and then some leafier foliage; even a four-foot tall monstera deliciosa. Learning about the different types of plants took a lot of time, and then I became obsessive with collecting them all. Now I would like to showcase my favorite type, the pothos. There are many different varieties, but I will be ranking the top pothos that I currently own.

5. Golden Pothos

This plant is easily one of the most common pothos you can find. It is pretty distinct with its green foliage and bright yellow highlights. This plant is also called Devil's Ivy, because it can be hard to kill. They grow fast and are relatively on the cheaper side.

4. Neon Pothos

The neon pothos has the same basic leaf shape as other pothos, however the color of this plant can be anywhere from a light green to a bright yellow, which gives it its name. This is also a fast grower and can be on the cheaper side. I rank this one higher than the golden only because the color can really brighten a room.

3. Pothos N'joy

This is the second pickiest plant on the list, but when it is healthy, it is a beautiful plant. The leaves are green with a marble-like white variegation that reminds me of the markings of a milk cow. The texture of the leaves are a bit different from other pothos, but they look amazing when they reach upwards for light.

2. Pothos Silvery Ann

The Silvery Ann has a much different shape than other pothos, the leaves have one half that is bigger than the other. As this plant grows, the leaves alternate on the sides of the stem. These leaves also have a thicker, shinier look to them, and variegation that makes them unique. This is the pickiest pothos plant I own, as the leaves curl when they need attention, but it can be due to a large variety of reasons that isn't so easy to diagnose.

1. Marble Queen Pothos

The marble queen was my very first pothos, and it has always been my favorite. The leaves are opposite from most variegated plants, as they are predominantly yellowish or off-white with speckles of green. This plant is easy to care for, and a great sight for the eyes. I actually find myself spending several minutes just looking at the unique patterns on the leaves.
